Coaching Philosophy

My hitting philosophy is built on developing complete hitters โ€” athletes who understand their swing, trust their approach, and compete with confidence in any count or situation. I believe great hitters are made through a balance of mechanical efficiency, mental preparation, and consistentency. Mechanically, I focus on helping hitters build efficient movement patterns that generate a line drive, gap to gap approach without sacrificing adjustability. Every player has a unique body and swing style โ€” my job is to help them discover their best version, not force them into a cookie-cutter model. Mentally, I emphasize a process-over-results mindset. Success at the plate comes from controlling what you can: preparation, approach, and effort. Whether itโ€™s building a pre-game routine, learning how to read pitchers, or handling failure, I work to make hitters more confident and adaptable. Above all, I want each player I work with to understand their swing, own their process, and love competing. My mission is to help hitters become not just better players, but smarter students of the game. Iโ€™ve been fortunate to play with and against 100โ€™s of Big Leaguers. I have many former teammates and coaches who currently are coaching at the big league level. I do not know everything, but I strive to learn and grow as a coach and pass down my knowledge to help the next generation succeed.
