In person lessons we start from the ground and work our way up. Everyone is different so I work with the player’s needs and can deal with youth through college aged players

Coaching Philosophy
A focus on the basics; balance, vision, control and feel is where I like to start, because it’s important to learn to move and use the ground. We are all different but need some of the same things when it comes to hitting and fielding. Balance and vision is where I usually start because if you are in a good position and you trust what you see you can hit and field. When it comes to the mental game, a growth mindset is key because of all the opportunities to learn about our own skill set and the teams we play against. My main focus is to help players find repeatability and once that is settled, adjustability is a wonderful byproduct of repeatability. I believe it’s important to set goals and if a player loves to work and is working towards a goal, the sky is the limit.

Jun 1997 - Mar 2002Drafted in the 6th Round in 1997 out of Sacramento State University. I was named a Top Prospect by Upper Deck in 2000. I was #70 in their top 100. I played four (4) minor league seasons with them and lead my team in home runs in 1998 with 15. I was converted from an infielder to an outfielder in between my 1st and 2nd year. I also took part in two (2) Fall League Championship teams.

Aug 1994 - Jun 1997Played three (3) years at Sac State. My junior year I was a first team all Big West Selection and well as a third (3rd) team All-American. I broke our school record for home runs ins a season (26) as well as the career home run record (35). The career record was broken last year, the single season record still remains. I was named our team MVP in 1997 as well. In 2009 I was inducted into the Sac State baseball Hall of Fame
