Coaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is built around variability and individuality. I believe there are certain core fundamentals in the game of baseball but that each athlete has their own unique strategies and problem solving solutions. My goal would be to build upon what the athlete already does really well in addition to improving any areas of weakness to create well-rounded, versatile athletes.

Jun 2014 - May 20202nd Round Draft Pick in 2014 by Chicago Cubs as a Right-Handed Starting Pitcher. I played 6 seasons with them, including a season in the Arizona Fall League where I was an All-Star. In my time with the Cubs I logged over 377 innings between a starting and relief pitcher and was selected as an All-Star for the Carolina League in 2016

In 2014 I competed as a Starting Pitcher, logging 118 innings and a school record 132 strikeouts. Threw a No-Hitter against U of Massachusetts and was Named ACC Conference Pitcher of the Week 4 separate times in 2014 season. Led team to first ever NCAA Regional Championship and Super Regional appearance. 45th overall pick in MLB Draft in 2014.

Aug 2020Following my playing career, I began coaching with the Vista Baseball Academy in 2020 working with athletes in the 8-14 year old range. I also began private lessons the same year, and have worked with all athletes from as young as 5 years old to high school, college, professional, and even athletes in their 50s playing in local men’s leagues. My passion is in baseball and I love being able to help anyone and everyone who has an interest in improving their game.
