Coaching Philosophy
Improving skills and physical abilities are obviously of great importance in soccer, but half of the game is mental. Emotional challenges and situational frustrations are inevitable. I hope to assist in this area, remaining patient and solving problems together! Aside from that, I'd say I'm well equipped to help with the fundamentals, endurance, and pacing/body control. For a first session: look/work at whatever areas of your game you believe to be lacking and any questions you have. Get to know each other to see if future sessions will benefit you! From there: provide as much or as little variation as you prefer in the work that we're doing. Two sessions may not look alike. Some sessions might include a very specific training plan (ex: endurance training could require little on-ball work, or the focus of the lesson could be strictly on-ball endurance).
Experience
Arapahoe High School
Athlete
Aug 2017 - May 2021I played soccer throughout my entire adolescence. Up until high school, I played club for Real Colorado. I traveled across the country for various tournaments, including the NPL regional finals in Arizona where I was the starting centerback for the squad that advanced to nationals. I was a 4-year varsity starter at Arapahoe High School in Littleton, CO. In my sophomore season we won the 5A State Championship, and in the first round of the state tournament I was able to finish a late goal that secured a 1-0 victory to advance. As a junior and senior I was awarded with academic all-state honors.
