Analysis
I will first look at the big picture of what’s going on mechanically and then break it down slowly. Also working to figure out where the player is mentally. Many times that can be affecting what’s happening mechanically.
Full Remote
Along with mechanical breakdown I will offer specific drills to do with homework. I also can add mental skills drills in order to allow faster progress.
Live Call
This will be a more personalized lesson where we start by a full breakdown of what the player wants to achieve.
In-Person
Full in-person lesson will focus on whatever the client needs the most. Physical and mental drills will be given to work on in between lessons.
Coaching Philosophy
Development Over Winning: My primary focus is on the holistic development of each player, both on and off the field. While results are important, and an important measure, I focus on creating the right process and executing that process at a high level. I prioritize teaching fundamental skills, fostering a love for the game, and playing the game with effort and energy. Individualized Approach: Every player is unique, with their own strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. I tailor my coaching methods to meet the needs of each player, providing personalized guidance and support to help them reach their full potential. Positive Reinforcement: I believe in the power of positive reinforcement to inspire and motivate players. I celebrate their successes, no matter how small, and offer constructive feedback to help them improve. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where players feel confident to take risks and learn from their mistakes. Character Development: Baseball is more than just a game; it's an opportunity to instill important life lessons. I emphasize the values of teamwork, respect, perseverance, and responsibility both on and off the field. My players learn not only how to become better athletes but also how to become better people. Fun and Enjoyment: Above all, I want players to have fun and enjoy the game of baseball. I strive to create practices and games that are engaging, exciting, and enjoyable for players of all skill levels. I believe that when players are having fun, they perform their best and develop a lifelong passion for the sport. Continual Learning and Improvement: As a coach, I am committed to continual learning and improvement. I seek feedback from players, parents, and fellow coaches. By constantly striving to grow and evolve, I can better serve players and help them reach their goals. By adhering to these principles, I aim to not only develop skilled baseball players but also confident, resilient, and compassionate individuals who are prepared to succeed both on and off the field.
